A lazy vacation?

As the moon grazed the pine tops over the mountain
I slid back in my seat to check that searing body pain

Slow’ was the mantra when we had set out this time
Soaking in pools by the day, chatting over fresh lime

Lounging on a tree swing, gazing at the clear blue sky
Waiting for the sun to melt slowly at the beach nearby

Tying up few words to rhyme, exploring stars at night
Were some of the ideas we had thought to get IT right

‘Fast’ would not be a figment from what we felt now
Packing in jungles & beaches & all that seemed wow

Temples, paddies & sierras pulled us out of the town
Clinging on to our bikes as the paths tumbled down

Here, on top of a wave, there, on top of a volcanooo!
Además los acantilados, como puedes decir que no!

Each moment, was a story, a painting, an expression
Each breath, was an escapade, with unlimited action

Stop! Pleaded those aching calves, from hours of run
Just a little more! We coaxed, the fun has just begun!

The days passed in a blur amidst all this commotion
& our lazy vacation morphed into its sketchy notion

Sit back, unwind, take it easy or feel at home advice
Slumbered down in our backpacks, all comfy & nice

As those sooty shoes & slouchy steps exposed our plight
Next time! We promised ourselves, getting into the flight

Sigh!

But!
How could I let go a collection of years!
Ideas, dreams, opinions, and oh! tears
Carefully filled with countless thoughts;
a mind, that has never known to stop..
Sinking deep in a murky bottomless pit
Tied to a lurking fear, is there no exit?

Gosh!
Every nerve in this body stretched taut
Is now cold to the answer being sought
Waiting for someone to clean this mess
And make a little space for happiness…
Then one day I decided to press ‘pause’
And deliberately observe each clause

Eeh!
Awful yet alive with moulds as in blight
Some ghosts of those long out of sight
Having cherished them all this while...
I found hard to own an archaic compile
It was time to bid farewell to each kind
And to begin I stepped out of my mind

Sigh!
A deep breathe in to cape each thought
And breathe ’em out, a monstrous lot

Sshhh!
No voice in my head, just empty space
As if I had just finished a gruelling race
No questions, no opinions and no plans
No illusions of any existential command
Unplugged from remnants of the past
Ready to re-discover the present at last
