I have googled enough to deserve a degree

I have seen enough to advise others for free

I have experienced enough to watch out for the signs

I have understood enough to act before it crosses lines

Sitting in isolation, counting minutes, hours, and days

Trying to rack my brains on how did I miss on the nays

20 seconds hand wash, 6 feet apart, mask on my face

But within minutes of testing positive, I fell from grace

‘Oh! I can get it too’, in my mind, that was the last thing

It seemed so simple that it just complicated everything

And that’s how symptoms are taken for common cold,

or a casual fever or diarrhea or headache, truth be told

Oddly, tests are taboo, for fear of facing what will ensue

When actually, it is just attesting what you always knew

There are so many out there, unknowingly with the virus

And many who thought ‘Oh! why go through all the fuss!’

Can’t tell when the virus gets the better of our immunity
So, it is upon us to test at the first hint of vulnerability!
